Problem running Fixblast.exe removal tool

I've been trying to run the W32.Blaster.Worm removal tool, Fixblast.exe.
Unfortunately, the tool keeps crashing. I've followed all proper steps
(turned off System Restore, tried it in Safe Mode, etc), but nothing seems
to work.
Any other suggestions?

infected.
I was simply wondering WHY Fixblast would not run properly for me.

I was simply wondering WHY Fixblast would not run properly for me.

I'm glad that you got the worm removed. A friend of mine had your same
problem with Fixblast and ended up just doing the manual removal (as I had
done previously). I don't know why Fixblast isn't working, but it doesn't
really matter if you got the problem corrected by other means. For the
record, you stated that Fixblast was crashing when you tried to use it and
asked for any other suggestions. If you had originally asked WHY Fixblast
wouldn't work for you, I wouldn't have responded because I don't know.

Thank you for attempting to assist. For the record though, when I asked for
"any other suggestions," it was for any other suggestions as to how to get
Fixblast to work. I had followed all of the suggestions, such as running it
in safe mode, but that didn't work either. Therefore, I needed other
suggestions as to why it might not be working and how to get it to work. I
was not asked for suggestions on other tools or methods instead of Fixblast.
